We began learning about Kwanzaa this week. Today the children wove their own mkekas. These are special placemats used during a feast at the end of Kwanzaa! We have been learning about the 7 principles of Kwanzaa as well and have done some journaling and learned songs for each of the principles we have learned so far.

Principle 2: Kujichagula: Self Determination Bruno Mars and Sesame Street: Don't Give Up
