Today we learned about a very important holiday in Mexico. One of the most important to the culture, Dia De Los Muertos. Please click on the link if you'd like to hear the story that we read today! One of the items made for the celebration is a sugar skull. Oc course we made paper ones! After using glue to trace the outline we sprinkled sugar on the wet glue and let it dry. This afternoon we used water color; tapped it on a spot of sugar and watched it travel! They turned out so amazing, it was like magic watching the colors travel around the dried glue and sugar!!
We also worked hard at building letters with our letter pieces today! It's a favorite activity! :)
